Taunton Deane Shooting Association (TDSA) is a premier smallbore rifle club that offers a wide range of shooting experiences for enthusiasts of all levels. As a club dedicated to the sport of smallbore rifle shooting, we take pride in providing our members with top-notch facilities and a welcoming community to pursue their passion.

At TDSA, we specialise in the two main styles of smallbore rifle shooting: standing, and seated (prone supported). Our members have the opportunity to hone their skills in each of these positions, mastering the techniques required for accurate and consistent shooting.
Seated shooting is the most stable of the three positions, allowing shooters to maintain a steady aim and achieve high scores.

Standing shooting adds an extra level of difficulty, as shooters must maintain balance and stability without the support of the ground. This discipline requires focus, control, and a keen eye for sight alignment. TDSA provides ample opportunities for members to practice and compete in standing shooting events, helping them develop their skills and confidence.

At TDSA, we use .22 Long Rifle calibre rifles, which are specifically designed for target shooting. These rifles are known for their accuracy, reliability, and low recoil, making them ideal for both beginners and experienced shooters alike. Our club also provides a range of .22 LR rifles for members and probationers to use, ensuring that everyone has access to the best equipment for their shooting needs.

In addition to our regular club events and competitions, TDSA also participates in national and international smallbore rifle shooting events. Our members have the opportunity to represent the club at various levels, showcasing their skills and competing against the best shooters from around the world.
